The Torchbearer Foundation organized the first
Christian Community Development (CCD) Conference in Africa in the year 2000,
in Cameroon. Since then, three other annual conferences have been organized
in 3 cites of Cameroon. These conferences brought
together over
700 Christian leaders of
Cameroon, African countries and other parts of the world to share and
promote the CCD vision.
Close
to three hundred participants
from five nations and 16 denominations came together for the 4th annual
Christian Community Development conferences in Cameroon in 2003. These
conferences took place in Ndu (July 27 to August 1) and Yaounde (August 10
to 16) under the theme
"The Supremacy of Scriptures in Christian
Community Development". Participants
were encouraged and challenged to:
-Love the Scriptures
-Learn the Scriptures and
-Live the Scriptures
Participants were blessed
with the teachings of anointed and experienced men and women of God from
Cameroon, Nigeria, South Africa and the USA.
