 The Torchbearer grinder installed

in Muteff-Abuh

The Torchbearer grinder for the Muteff-Abuh community is up and running. The grinder arrived that community on Thursday March 3, 2005 after spending the night in Fundong town on its way from Bamenda. A large crowd composed of Torch and non-Torch members who had been waiting for the grinder on Wednesday evening reluctantly returned home when the grinder could not arrive as completion work on the drums to be used for the grinder’s cooling system could only be completed on Thursday morning, prior to departure for Muteff.

By 11 am on Thursday March 3, René Njamnshi (Administrative Assistant to the Torchbearer Foundation National Coordinator in Cameroon), Mme Fidelia Tim (Torchbearer Facilitator for Fundong) and Stephen Ngong (grinder technician) took off with the grinder for Muteff. Marcus Ngong, driver of the red Toyota 4WD pickup who transported the grinder from Fundong to Muteff-Abuh, was glad to be part of the team.

On arrival in Muteff, Pastor Kinyam Robert led prayers in the grinder house, thanking God for the provision of the grinder and praying for God’s blessings for all those who sacrificed tremendously to provide funds for the grinder.

The grinder planting process took about two weeks. Preparation of the grinder seating (for engine and hauler) was done on Saturday March 5, 2005. The technician said it was necessary to give it ample time to get dry. Mr. Simon Ngwainmbi, Torchbearer Divisional Facilitator for Boyo, meet with all Matches (Torchbearer Christian Community Development Prayer Cell Leaders) in Muteff to form the Grinder Management Committee. More on the grinder project in our next issue.
