Torchbearer Foundation Cameroon is 10 years this 2010. Praise God for the impact created by the ministry spiritually and physically in the lives of individuals and communities in Cameroon. Praise God for all who have stood by the ministry in its challenging task of holistic ministry in Cameroon. The task is monumental and continues to increase. Pray for God to provide more laborers who have a passion for the ministry and its vision.

Praise God for all torchbearers in the USA who donated, parked and shipped a container of assorted gifts to the ministry in Cameroon last year. Orphans and other needy children are being blessed with clothes in different villages, nursery school kids now enjoy teaching aids and other facilities they didn’t have before, medical institutions in villages now have equipment they never dreamed of….. Pray that as we continue to distribute these gifts, recipients will see them as a demonstration of the love of God by their brothers and sisters thousands of kilometers away from Cameroon.

Pray that the Lord may grant us wisdom to do effective planning in the course of this year. Pray also that He may build us to be more effective and efficient.

Pray for open doors for our ministry in new subdivisions in Cameroon. Pray for the Leadership training Institute in Mbessi – Mbengwi, Momo Division on Saturday January 16, 2010

Pray for journey mercies for our leaders at the national, sub-divisional and villages throughout this year.

Misaje Sub-Division

Pray that Torch meetings will be more effective this year in attendance, prayer and seed money contribution. Pray also that more life-changing projects will go operational this year.

Pray that God may grant us more stable leadership in Misaje Sub Division. Pray also that God will lead us to different approaches to present our vision in ways that are simple to understand and practice.

Pray that God will make it possible for small projects to start in Misaje that can catch the attention of the people as we seek to meet both the spiritual and physical needs in communities. Also pray that Misaje people will learn to take responsibility for solving their own problems

 Nkambe Sub-Division

Torchbearer Foundation Clinic, Binju – Nkambe will soon be officially launched. Pray that it will be a place where people will be healed both medically and spiritually, and also for the process to get official papers for the clinic

Pray for provision of a committed hardware technician for our Computer Technology Institute in Nkambe.

Pray that God may increase leadership in Nkambe to form more Torches and small groups and cause these small groups to be faithful in their seed money contributions.

Ndu Sub-Division

Torches in Wowo, Mangu & Njilah hold their monthly Flash in Wowo village on Wednesday January 6, 2010. Pray with these Torches as they meet to celebrate what God is doing in their communities, share experiences with one another and pray together on challenges in their communities.

Most members of the Prodigal Son Torch in Ngongang did not have any formal education. Determined to give their children access to at least primary education, these parents are sacrificing enormously. Please pray with them in these efforts.

Praise God for the partnership in Christian community development between the Torchbearer Foundation and Ngang Baptist Church. The Torchbearer Community Primary School in Ngang is currently hosted by this local church. Primaries 1 & 2 hold in the church building while primary 3 holds in part of the pastor’s house. Please pray for all 91 pupils and 3 teachers. Also praise God that French is now being taught in this school thanks to a 3rd teacher we recruited at the beginning of this academic year.

Praise God for the ongoing installation of our integrated power plant. This plant has dual purpose -generate power for our Computer Technology Institute and generate income through its bakery facet. Please pray with us that despite some challenges, this plant will run before January 20th.

Fundong Sub-division

Pray for Torches in Ngwah and their desire to educate the needy especially orphans. Using one of our facilitators, Neng Mercy, as a point of contact, commit all torchbearers in Ngwah who have a burden for these underprivileged children.

Pray for Susan Ndikaka, our facilitator in Noni Sub-division who was not well towards the end of 2009

Pray for revival and strengthening of Torches in Akeh. Pray for wisdom for Nkfu Samuel, our facilitator in Akeh. Pray also for our facilitator in Anyim, Pastor Terence, and Torches in that community.
